Road Master
Basic duties and responsibilities include:

  • overseeing maintenance of all Township vehicles at regular intervals, keeping record of fuel usage, oil usage, parts, etc for each piece of equipment
  • supervising regular and routine maintenance of all Township roadways, ie patching potholes, cleaning gutters, mowing road sides, seal coating and removal and control of snow and ice
  • supervising regular and routine maintenance of all Township roadways, ie patching potholes, cleaning gutters, mowing road sides, seal coating and removal and control of snow and ice
  • supervising major road reconstruction projects in accordance with plans approved by the Board of Supervisors
  • issuing all highway occupancy and driveway permits
  • supervising work performed by maintenance crew employees
  • calling workers for snow and ice control when needed
  • applying snow and ice control materials
  • maintaining Township tools and ordering parts and supplies as needed
  • maintaining a PA Commercial Driver's License and meeting Federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
