Building Permit Application  Use this permit for all new residential, commercial and industrial construction and additions to residential, commercial and industrial structures, accessory buildings to residential structures, such as detached garages or sheds that exceed 1,000 square feet, swimming pools and spas, fences over 6 feet in height and decks over 30 inches above grade.

 

Zoning Permit Application  Use this permit for accessory buildings, sheds or structures under 1,000 square feet, agricultural buildings, manure storage facilities, fences under 6 feet high, retaining walls, decks under 30 inches above grade and the alteration or development of any improved or unimproved real estate, including, but not limited to, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or drilling operations; the conduct of forestry; the erection or alteration of any signs; the construction or installation of manure storage facilities, lakes, ponds, dams, or other water retention basin

 

Demolition Permit Application  Use this permit for all demolition of structures

 

Excavation Permit Application  Use this permit for all earth moving projects.  Earth moving of larger than 1 acre must provide NPDES permit through the Conservation District.

 

Driveway Permit Application - must be completed and submitted before a driveway can be created, or before an existing driveway may be blacktopped.  For driveways on state roads, contact PA Dot at (717) 299-7621.

 

Special Exception Application - to apply to the Zoning Hearing Board for specific uses in specific zones.

 

Variance Application - to apply to the Zoning Hearing Board where it is alleged that the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance inflict unnecessary hardship upon the applicant.

 

Noncommercial Keeping of Livestock Application - Use this form when you have at least 2 acres of land, and would like to keep noncommercial livestock; ie. horses, goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys, ponies, etc.  There are specific criteria to meet prior to receiving this permit.

 

Roadside Stand Farmers Market - Use this form when you would like to sell produce from your property that you have grown on your property.  Parking and signage must be adequate.

 

Commercial Truck Parking Application - Use this form when you do not own 20 acres or more and have property within the Agricultural Zone and would like to park your commercial vehicle on your property.  There are specific criteria to meet prior to receiving this permit.

 

Special Event Sales - Use this form when you would like to provide a product/products within a temporary time frame.  Sale of Christmas trees or fireworks would fit this category. 

 

Conditional Use Application - Use this form to apply  for approval to the Board of Supervisors for uses listed as conditional uses within specific zoning districts.
