How will the code change the Rapho Township process?
Under current Uniform Construction Code (UCC) regulations, you are required to obtain a building permit application from the township. If your project is required to submit plans, (such as a construction of a new house or residential addition), these plans will have to be approved by a 3rd Party Rapho Township approved inspection company prior to issuance of a building permit by the township. The Rapho Township building permit application fee is $75 for Residential construction projects and $100 for Commercial construction projects, which must be paid prior to issuance of the Building Permit. (Building Permit application fee includes the application fee, one final inspection by the Building/Code Enforcement Officer and Certificate of Occupancy issued upon completion and approval of the project). The Building Permit cost is $3 per $1,000 cost of construction (rounded up to the next one thousand dollars) plus a fee of $4 per permit, used to fund state inspector training programs. Please note that this fee does not include the plan review and subsequent inspection fees charged by the chosen 3rd Party Inspection company.
